Dear partners and friends:

Special greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ from the Nation's Capital! In my 27 years of standing in the gap in Washington, D.C., I have not seen a more desperate hour for the nation. America's soul is hanging in the balance, and our very freedoms are threatened.

I'm not addressing the 2012 election and who will be the next president. We face a crucial time that calls for praying people everywhere to make a commitment like the one Esther faced to spare her nation. The Church of Jesus Christ is being called upon to be bold and courageous like Esther was to spare her nation from annihilation. Only the praying Church can go to the Throne of Grace for God's intervention.

We're asking everyone who has an ear to hear to prayerfully consider some serious warnings concerning the nation. God forewarns his watchmen so they will blow the trumpet and call for a response. Judgment can be averted if we will respond to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Nineveh repented and was spared judgment.

Over the years, the Holy Spirit has shown me pending judgments that are threatening America. In 2001, the Holy Spirit warned me about the 9/11 attack on America. I was shown two black clouds bringing devastation to Lower Manhatten Island. The Holy Spirit spoke these words, “You can't stop it, but you can pray for it.” That meant that God's hand was lifted to protect, but we should pray for His mercy and grace.

In 2008, I had a dream where the dome of the U.S. Capitol exploded. The explosion came from the base of the building, and blew the top of the dome off. So far, prayer has averted this tragedy.

In 2010, I was shown a submarine off the U.S. East Coast which fired two ICBM missiles into one of our cities. We have been alerting intercessors to pray protection for the U.S. borders and the inter-coastal waters. We pray for enemy vessels to be exposed, those disguised as merchant ships. Iran has recently announced it is sending its ships into the international waters off the United States coast. Russian and Chinese subs already roam these waters. N. Korean oil barges travel from the Pacific through the Gulf of Mexico to Cuba and then to South America.

War ships are often disguised as merchant ships or oil tankers. The N. Korean ships carry two manned mini-subs equipped with torpedoes that can travel 200 miles. They carry out suicide missions.

In the Spring of 2011, the Holy Spirit gave warned me about a great physical devastation coming to Washington, D.C. Less than a week before the surprise earthquake, we conducted an intensive prayer walk over the entire city for one week, covering every government building and historical sites within the city. I even went up to the top of the Washington Monument and prayed to the North, South, East and West. The 5.8 earthquake shook the East Coast a few days later on August 23rd, with only minimal damage.

In September 2011, I was given a vision in which the lower portion of NYC disappeared in a flash, it vanished in the twinkling of an eye. Only a triangle remained, the upper portion of Manhatten. I also researched the history and potential threat of earthquakes in the New York City area. An earthquake, similar to the one that occurred earlier this year in Japan, could set off the fires and devastation that David Wilkerson saw in his vision which spread to New Jersey.

We ask you to join us and pray for God's mercy and grace to avert this. A spiritual awakening like Nineveh had could allow God to relent of His judgment.

We must discern the signs of the times, if we're going to stand in the gap and believe for a mighty spiritual awakening in America. We can't live in denial, thinking that things will get back to normal. We must assess the truth with the Word of God about how God's justice system works.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us what God would prefer to do: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” But, 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us what He requires.....”If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Judgment or salvation? Which will it be for America?

Scripture reveals how the Lord warns before he judges. He tries to call his people back, but if they do not repent, then a greater judgment is certain. Deliberate defiance is always met with swift judgment.

If we will follow God's instructions in 2 Chronicles 7:14.....He will Heal our Land. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Together, we can Redeem the Land and re-dedicate it back to God.....

PRAYER FOR GOVERNMENT & NATION

Pray for the Government

In Psalm 146:3, we are admonished to: "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help." Psalm 119:9 tells us that: "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." We are instructed by scripture to pray for those that are in authority over us. (I Timothy 2:1-3)

In doing so, we may take comfort in the fact that God can turn the heart of the king as rivers of water. (Proverbs 21:1) Continue to pray for the president, members of congress and judges, that God will exercise overruling providence in all that they do.

Prayers for the President

Hedge in President Barack Obama with your angels. Cause him to be accountable for his decisions before God and the people. (Prov. 16:9; Psalm 109:8)

We pray for God’s blessings and a shield of protection over President Barack Obama, his wife Michele, Malia, Sasha and their grandmother. We pray they are shielded from Satan’s fiery darts that would seek to do harm against their lives. We pray for President Obama to have God’s wisdom, grace, and strength according to Isaiah 11:2-3.

We ask the Lord to remove the veils of communism and Islam that were deposited into President Obama's spirit from a child, and replace them with a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ, as the Savior of his life.

As we release blessings upon our president, we keep our eyes upon God Almighty who we worship and place our trust and hope in; the Lord of Glory, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Pray for the truth to be made known in every area of the presidency and for the president to deliver on his promises of transparency in government.

Pray for National Security

While it’s vital that we pray blessings for President Obama, we must also pray that his administration keeps America safe from any foreign attacks. Pray for God’s wisdom for his cabinet and military leaders.

Pray for Racial Healing in America

Obama's presidency has caused more racial divides rather than breaking racial hatred and prejudice in the United States. May the Church of Jesus Christ lead the way to be "repairers of the breach" with personal repentance for racism, bigotry, hatred and pride.

Representatives & Elections

We ask the Lord to chose our leaders.... For promotion comes neither from the east, nor the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and sets up another. (Psalm 75:6-7)

Anoint them for their position.......

Blessed be the Name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are His. He changes the times and seasons. He removed kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding...(Dan. 2:20-21) 

Surround our leaders with wise counsel (Proverbs 20:18; 24:6) 

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counselors they are established. (Proverbs 15:22)

"The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." (Prov 21:1)

“A man's heart devises his way, but the LORD directs his steps.” (Prov. 16:9)

"There is no wisdom or understanding or counsel [that can stand] against the LORD." (Prov 21:30)

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel -- that will stand." (Prov 19:20-21)

A prayer from Psalm 55:16-17 for the Lord to grant the President and his family salvation and that God would establish everything good for our country and God's kingdom work, and destroy, with complete confusion, everything bad for the country and God's kingdom work."

Pray for wisdom, discernment, and understanding for the President and his advisors, and that he will have godly advisors around him. (Isaiah 11:2-3)

Pray for Revival and Righteousness to arise in America: God honors His covenant! There are two nations that exist under divine providence: Israel and America.  We must keep God’s covenant alive if we want His mercy and continued blessings upon the United States!

May the intercessors in America cry out for a spirit of revival to sweep across our land in such a mighty way, that it will once again truly make us One Nation Under God!

Why it is our Duty to Pray for the Nation's Leaders

(Proverbs 21:1)  Continue to pray for the president, members of congress and judges, that God will exercise overruling providence in all that they do. 

In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 the apostle Paul charges Timothy to be sure that Christians pray for everyone, especially those who hold positions of authority…..kings and those in civil government. 

At the time the Apostle Paul gave this instruction, the kings were heathens, enemies to Christianity and persecutors of Christians, yet Christians are charged to pray for them.  Specific direction for prayer is not given, since Paul thought it is enough that they have the scripture to direct them in prayer and the Spirit of prayer for guidance. The Christian religion promotes a life of prayer; and the disciples of Christ must be praying people.

It is for the public good that there should be prayer for civil government leaders….even if they are oppressing the people.  We must pray for kings and their administrators; give thanks for them, and pray for their welfare. We must be at peace with them so we may have peace, and give thanks for them so we may benefit under their government; as well as lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. In doing so, tough times could become good times to live!

We must pray that God will turn the hearts of kings and their leaders; to direct them to be used for good. Christians should make supplications to avert evil, pray for their leader’s good, make intercession for others, and give thanksgiving for mercies already received. 

When Christians will do their duty, then they will be protected by God and the government. Forsaking evil and seeking peace is good in the sight of God our Saviour; something the gospel of Christ requires.  (1 Peter 3:10,11).

During Perilous Times..... 

The Apostle Paul describes our time when he writes, “In the last days perilous times shall come…. Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:1,13).

In 2008, the entire world came under a great cloud of fear caused by an economic tsunami which caused the wealth of the powerful to quickly go up in smoke. Greedy banks and mortgage companies had seduced and deceived the poor, the unlearned, and the unemployed.  Reputable banks failed because of this deception and their executives bailed out with “golden parachutes” of multiple millions.

What are we to do in the face of a recession and worldwide depression?

Instead of fear, God’s people are demonstrating great soberness about these times.  David speaks an amazing prophecy for God’s people in Psalm 37:18-19, “They shall not be ashamed in the evil (calamitous) time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”  This entire psalm tells how the Lord rises up to action against societies whose sins have outraged heaven, but He will protect His own people.   When you pray Psalm 91 for yourself and your family, you experience how much the Lord “shields” his own. 

At the same time the Lord is recompensing the ungodly, he will reward those who trust in him. Those faithful servants, who live under God’s covenant, will not be ashamed in the evil time of calamity.  Look at how God protects the nation of Israel!  God will always keep his covenant with His chosen people. They are not a perfect people, but His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob stands forever!  And the faithful, covenant Church of Jesus Christ is engrafted into the Jewish tree. 

Throughout the Bible we see a people whose flint-like faith proved their faithfulness in the most difficult times.  God worked miracles for them before the whole world.  Abraham and Moses committed God to his promises.  Joshua also put God’s glory on the line by acting with faith.  Daniel acted with faith to see God’s Word come to pass.  The New Testament records the acts of faith demonstrated by the disciples of Jesus Christ.

The trusting believer will never be afraid of evil times; “his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid….” (Psalm 112:7-8).  We must always remember that God will never put his trusting people to shame.  He will keep his Word to you because his own honor is at stake.  This is why we are called to place God’s honor, glory and reputation on the line.
