The Embassy for World Peace

Representing Christians at the Nation's Capital for 27 Years

 Peace Initiative

The Embassy for World Peace serves the primary purpose of seeking Peace through safeguarding Human Dignity and Freedom of Religion around the globe. It addresses the reality that over half of the world population lives under regimes which severely restrict the fundamental human rights of individuals, for either religious persecution or racial atrocities. The Embassy’s policy is to seek and support the growth of free societies in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of seeing tyranny end in theocratic countries.

The Embassy brings public awareness to the growing worldwide incidences of human rights violations and religious persecution.  The Embassy supports the efforts of humanitarian relief and aid organizations which provide assistance to needy people irrespective of race, creed or class.  By mediating with government and community leaders, the Embassy has helped to improve understanding and promote justice in troubled regions of the world.

Conceived by its founder Rev. Ruth Schofield, the Embassy revolves around the history and vital need for monitoring the oversight of human rights around the globe, in many regions and cultures. Rev. Schofield has visited many Third World regions to help unite government and community leaders to work together to improve equity within their communities.

The Embassy hails the significance that the promotion of freedom in theocratic societies continues to be an important goal of American policy in the international community. Promoting a democratic way of life in today's world is closely linked to world peace and stability.

The Embassy for World Peace is developing a memorial and art museum commemorating those who have suffered under totalitarian regimes and tyranny. An eternal flame will glow night and day in remembrance of the victims who have lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and those who have suffered human rights violations due to international terrorism. The museum and art display will restore dignity to those who have been victimized at the hand of theocratic terrorist regimes

More than a memorial, the Embassy conducts an ongoing global peace initiative to end religious persecution and racial atrocities in many regions through diplomatic liaison with key leaders to improve the civil, political, religious, and human rights environment in their countries.

Memorial and Museum Envisioned

“A Shining City On A Hill” at the Nation’s Capital

Resembling the Holocaust Museum which has brought healing to the Jewish people, this proposed memorial is designed to help bring healing to those whose lives have been affected by human rights violations, racial genocide, and religious persecution.

A giant globe of the world will be displayed in the main courtyard where the victim’s names are to be listed on computer stations surrounding the globe. The computerized monitors surrounding the globe access country information where current violations exist.

A fountain will cascade softly over a three dimensional sculpture of people from all nations.  In this serene setting, visitors can pay homage and pray for peace to prevail in the nations of the world. In these present perilous times, it is vital for a center promoting global peace to be located in the nation’s capital.

Visitors will have opportunity to pray in the chapel or sign up for prayer through an Internet website. The memorial is surrounded by a beautiful meditation garden and bubbling stream. Sculptures will represent the nations and peoples of the world.

Concept of Operation

1.   Foster World Peace

An ongoing mission of networking with world leaders to foster peace between their geographic regions, and encourage them to resist terrorist regimes within their country, which are a threat to the people and a democratic way of life.  The Embassy represents a beacon light of freedom for all nations, lifting up a standard against Jihad terrorism, religious persecution, and racial genocide.

2.  Promote Religious Liberty
The Embassy promotes religious freedom in all nations, and advocates racial equity within the international community. We recognize that over half of the world’s population lives under regimes which severely restrict the most the basic fundamental freedom. The Dove of Peace Award is granted to heads of state that provide a free society without racial or sectarian divides.

3.  Protect Human Freedoms
The Embassy connects government agencies and NGOs serving the interest of those suffering from humanitarian and sectarian persecution. Developing an International Satellite Communications Network will expedite this effort, and help curtail international terrorism and sectarian persecution through public awareness, educational seminars and government liaison.

The Embassy conducts an ongoing global peace initiative which involves educating government leaders on how to restore human dignity in countries that have been plighted by terrorism and genocide. The current battle against human rights violations cites over 60 countries for intolerable and unjustifiable violations of current international human rights laws.

4.  Global Communications
Being located in Washington, D.C. makes it possible to dialogue with key leaders and
foreign ambassadors, but gaining access to international networks will further expand public awareness efforts. Global satellite uplink would transmit interviews with these government officials and non-governmental organizations to the world community.

5. Memorial for the Victims
The proposed location for the memorial and museum would be located in Washington, D.C.  Those affected by totalitarian regimes, racial and religious persecution will be able
to visit this site and feel some sort of closure for their loss, and understand that the death of their loved ones was not in vain.

The Embassy for World Peace is a faith-based foundation conducting a global mission from the nation’s capital, which operates under the direction of founding president, Rev. Ruth Schofield, who serves as its ambassador to the nations.
